Prepare and make ready for the Spirit of God to fall afresh on Kindergarten to twelfth grade youth this weekend in Atlanta, Ga.

Youth Outreach United (YOU) and Brentwood, Tennessee church partner, Fellowship Bible Church (FBC), present a Backyard Bible Club on March 24-26, 2018 in an Atlanta area apartment complex in order to share the love of Jesus with youth in Kindergarten through twelfth grade.

The purpose of this event is simple: to bring youth attendees of this event into a relationship with Jesus Christ as they experience the love of God with youth leaders.

“Our hope is that they sense from what [YOU] is doing that Jesus loves them and that they feel like we had a divine encounter with the Lord,” executive director of YOU, Drew Grubbs, told Atlanta Christian Voice. “Those who know Him are encouraged and those who don’t know Him come to know Him.”

“Our hope is that they sense from what [YOU] is doing that Jesus loves them and that they feel like we had a divine encounter with the Lord,” executive director of YOU, Drew Grubbs, told Atlanta Christian Voice.

YOU is a nonprofit youth organization with the following mission: to enable students from different churches to partner together and participate in reaching out to their campus and community with the message and love of Jesus Christ. It provides young people with a structure where they can explore their gifts and calling while being trained and participating in hands-on ministry, according to https://www.youthoutreachunited.com/.

YOU has partners, such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and First Baptist Church of Atlanta (FBA). They have ongoing projects in the metro Atlanta area, including the Gwinnett Youth Project, the Dekalb Youth Project, the Walton Youth Project, and the Forsyth Youth Project.

One of the focuses of YOU is to reach out to youth within apartment complexes in the metro Atlanta area.

“We consider ourselves a church assisting organization,” Grubbs said. “We partner with churches to help them reach out to students where they live.”

The Backyard Bible Club ministry activity events for this weekend include Bible studies, arts and crafts, and sports and games ranging from soccer to kickball. The FBC will choose the arts and crafts and Bible studies that they will do as they bring materials from their own church.

Evangelism presentations about Jesus will be given every day by the youth leaders to youth attendees daily to point them to Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Youth attendees will have the opportunity to make a proclamation of faith to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior during the Backyard Bible Club.

“The Gospel will be shared every day,” Grubbs told Atlanta Christian Voice. “The event is designed to be evangelistic in nature. The kids will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel message each day.”

Grubbs is excited to see how youth attendees of the Backyard Bible Club will respond to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and use their spiritual gifts to glorify the Kingdom of God.

“I am excited about children hearing the Gospel,” Grubbs told Atlanta Christian Voice. “I’m more excited about high schoolers learning to use their spiritual gifts. The big part we are excited about is sharing the Gospel and getting involved in people’s lives.”
